About the Speakers

Greg Fioravanti is Vice President, Rights at National Geographic and is responsible for all rights and clearances associated with National Geographic’s content. Over the past two years, he has overseen the roll out of Rightsline across the television business and its integration into Disney’s larger content operation. Upcoming is an overhaul of National Geographic’s extensive image collection. Prior to his current role, he was Vice President, Rights & Digital Business Affairs at Discovery Communications where he managed the operations of the Business Affairs department, which provided content rights information to staff supporting its TV Networks and various other business efforts globally.

Jessica Boddy is  Vice President of Global Rights Management in the Business and Legal Affairs division of Discovery, Inc. In her role, she oversees a global rights team responsible for advising Discovery businesses on media rights and multiplatform distribution; and provides legal production support for Discovery’s in-house production teams. She also serves on a cross-functional content supply chain management team.  Jessica began her career at Discovery in the corporate legal division, providing legal support for the cable distribution division and Discovery Education, Inc.

Ed Klaris is the CEO of KlarisIP, a consulting and managed services firm focusing on IP rights and royalties, digital asset management and metadata management. He is also managing partner of Klaris Law, a boutique media, entertainment, technology, and intellectual property law firm, which he founded in 2015. Before starting his own firm, he served as SVP of Conde Nast, general counsel for The New Yorker, media counsel at ABC Inc., and as a litigator at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP.
